Experience some of the world's best young talents compete for glory, the big prizes and a promising career on the international stage.
Since its inception in 2011, Aarhus International Piano Competition has established itself as one of the world's leading competitions for young pianists. In the spring of 2025, the competition will take place for the seventh time.
During the competition, Aarhus will be visited by 42 young pianists aged 11-21 from all over the world. Two Danish participants are guaranteed participation. As usual, the Aarhus International Piano Competition is a unique opportunity to have concert experiences at the highest level with the greatest young piano talents in the world.
A string of the most prominent pianists on the international scene today are former winners of the Aarhus International Piano Competition. Just think of names like Beatrice Rana, Philipp Scheucher, Alberto Ferro and Jeonghwan Kim.
Competition rounds
The first rounds of the competition will take place in the Small Hall in Musikhuset Aarhus every day from 8th to 14th March 2025 – admission is free. At the final concert, Aarhus Symphony Orchestra and the four finalists will provide a magnificent concert experience. Once again the competition is looking forward to welcoming you to a blast of a piano party!
