More than a competition

Concerts

Aarhus International Piano Competition is not a competition where the winner takes it all. We wish and strive towards that all competitors leave Aarhus with happy memories, in good spirit, and with many useful pianistic and personal experiences. Therefore we always arrange concerts for the competitors who do not enter the final. These concerts will take place during the week of the competition. All competitors who exit the competition after the first round will perform a concert in another Danish city than Aarhus. All competitors who exit the competition after the second round will perform a concert in Aarhus. The pianists will not be payed a fee for performing at these concerts. Members of the competition staff will accompany the pianists to the concert venues, and the competition will pay all transport costs. 

Photographer

We know how important it is for pianists to have some high quality photos to use for a wide range of PR purposes. Therefore we offer every competitor a photo session with the highly acclaimed Danish photographer Tom McKenzie. 
After the competition has ended every competitor will receive a photo portfolio as a gift from the competition.
