Over the course of a whole week in March, you can experience 42 of the world's best young pianists unfold on the piano when Aarhus International Piano Competition takes place for the seventh time. Come and follow the next generation of the greatest concert pianists, who on their way through the three rounds of the competition will ensure unforgettable concert experiences with their musicality, musical vision and virtuosity.
Host Mathias Hammer - kvown from Danish radio and television - will guide everyone safely through the competition.
Aarhus International Piano Competition has set the stage for some of the most prominent young pianists on the international stage today. Previous young winners of Aarhus International Piano Competition are pianists such as Beatrice Rana, Philipp Scheucher, Alberto Ferro and Jeonghwan Kim.
Aarhus International Piano Competition is organized in collaboration between the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, Royal Academy of Music Aarhus, Musikhuset Aarhus and Juhl-Sørensen A/S. The Concert Hall will be buzzing with piano music, excitement and high expectations as the 42 pianists compete for cash prizes totaling DKK 436,000 and concert events around Denmark.
